The Chief Operating Office is a dynamic team of leaders who provide executive and operational support to the Co-CIO (Chief Information Officer), focused on alignment with technology strategy. We enable a consistent strategic lens across the organization, responding to the evolution of the industry and innovations shaping the future of financial services.

Overview of the Role

The Strategic Enablement Lead role is a senior-level position reporting into the Head of Strategic Governance Enablement, supporting the Chief Operating Office organization. This role will be responsible for supporting the organizational vision to drive efficient operations in Technology and alignment to strategic imperatives. The ideal candidate will ensure efficiency through executive presentations and strategic initiatives through the management of operating rhythm.



Responsibilities include:

  • Synthesized information into executive ready views for Technology, and Enterprise level senior executives, including CIO, CFO and CEO updates​ (i.e., Executive Management Meetings, Board of Director Updates, Strategy docs, Quarterly Earnings, Townhalls, Leadership offsites)

  • Strengthen partnerships with global sectors to ensure coordinated approach.

  • Consistent and consolidated strategic alignment to provide cohesive executive updates.

  • Maintain a broad understanding across disciplines to make connections to enhance storytelling.

  • Responses to regulatory and IA requests are accurate and timely, leveraging strong partnerships.

  • Continuously incorporate Risk and Controls-first lens when preparing leadership updates.

  • Proactively synthesized information for quarterly achievements for Quarterly earnings calls driven through a strong partnership with Technology and Finance.

  • Successfully partner with the Tech Strategy Central team and other sectors to imbed the Technology Transformation Strategy across Technology.

  • Ownership of key executive level management forum materials.

  • Active contributor and opportunity to lead new priority programs that evolve through the year for the Technology organization.

  • Strong operations, risk, control, and technology capabilities to understand concepts and logic to drive synergies in solutions.

  • Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities and ability to understand adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners.

  • Own key activities and forums to share best practices, visibility and drive thought leadership.

  • Partner across the enterprise to bring disparate teams together by collaborating with others in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

  • Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.

  • Ability to apply and coach the principles of operational excellence, development of problem statements and action plans, as well as value stream mapping, project planning and systematic problem solving.

  • Excellent relationship management and consulting skills with proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, execute with limited information and ambiguity.

  • Capable of driving initiatives within businesses, function, and across the enterprise. Ability to communicate strategic insights and updates with executive stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders, preferably in financial services and/or technology.

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology.

  • Executive storytelling – experience synthesizing complex material into executive ready views, through various lenses.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve.

  • Aptitude to understand technology concepts & capabilities.

  • Ability to translate technical language into “so what” business speak.

  • Facilitators with senior leaders - guiding and challenging.

  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments, demonstrating versatility & team player in all environments.

  • Consistently demonstrate concise and impactful written and verbal communication.

  • Experienced in project management with excellent organizational, follow-up and time management skills.

  • Expert in Microsoft Office product suite – especially PowerPoint.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$141,440.00 - $212,160.00
